8.Projects
Completed:
• Development of Computer Catalogue of Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore Centre Library which is funded by Indian Statistical Institute. I have computerized the library. About 50,000 books and journal records in to LIBSYS. Bar-Code pasted on the book is also done. The systems in the library and the NT server are on the LAN, so that any of the faculty can access the library. We are in the process of making the library server and its database accessible through the web.
• Meta Search in Electronic Resources, in which search multiple database in one stop search using ASP VB script, MS Access, MS SQL. Project carried out during Fulbright Fellowship at Grainger Engineering Library, University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, USA.(http://www.isibang.ac.in/library)
• Installed DSpace in Linux Fedora Server. Digital Repositories of Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore (http://library.isibang.ac.in:8080/dspace) digital library to provide an open platform and make access to digital information.
• S.R.Ranganathan Access portal to works by and on him (http://www.isibang.ac.in/library/portal/index.htm)
